What happens when I pray in tongues?

When you speak in an unknown tongue, you are not speaking to people; you speak to God. (1 Cor. 14:2)

What is happening when that is going on?

• Edification is taking place.

• Mysteries are being revealed.

• Things that you did not know from your own understanding are becoming known to you.

Imagine — God gave us the availability and the vehicle to be able to bypass the human intellect, to bypass what men think, to bypass our own understanding!

It's a wonderful thing to be able to pray out mysteries in the Spirit in other tongues!
