How to pray beyond yourself—Tongues!

Let me help you with this gift we’ve been given of praying in tongues…

Tongues keep you from getting into fear. You can pray in tongues about things that even you would want to faint about!

So we can deal with things in a mystery that God needs us pray about. God can keep us praying in tongues so that we’re dealing with it even though our mind is unfruitful. And that is the grace of God so that we do not become taken with fear.

I believe it’s in the divine providence and sovereignty of God that He holds the Church –– even in a way that we don’t know to hold ourselves –– by His grace, His wisdom, His power, His ability, His leverage… and keep the Church moving forward in spite of ourselves.

One of the ways that He has been able to do that is to give us the ability to pray beyond ourselves so that we don’t need our mind to pray about things we don’t even understand.

Faith is not turning a blind eye to responsibilities to pray in agreement in accordance and in alignment with God! Faith is not the abandonment of wisdom! Faith is the application to work as God works in circumstances and situations beyond ourselves.

That’s where tongues comes in. We even pray in tongues by faith! And as we do that, we can see the purposes and the plans of God produced in our everyday lives.
